A brief description of the Open menu :
This button is used for building charts in the ATAS platform.
By default, the candlestick chart of the selected instrument is opened.
Spread Chart( this module is not available at the moment at v5 version of ATAS)
This instrument is designed for spread trading (pair trading/spread trading, synthetic spread trading, hedging etc.).
The main essence of this trading approach is the search for dependencies between assets followed by the display of these dependencies in the form of a line chart and the testing of deviation of these dependencies by simultaneously opening positions for two or more assets.
The calculation for this instrument is performed similarly to the Smart Tape , but the data are presented in the form of clusters. Such an innovative approach to mapping the data makes it easy to accept all incoming information. While the tape requires looking into figures to determine order prices, you can see everything directly on the chart.
Every market order can be filled by a large number of specifically limited orders; this instrument groups the received ticks so that the trader sees the actual market orders in their full amount. There is also a volume-based filtering system. Now we can see what traders with different capitalization do at any time.
Spread Tape ( in v 5 version is called Bid Ask tape)
An instrument for the visualization of volumes at each spread value.
The counter of distribution of volumes by prices. This option allows finding levels with the maximum volume, trades, bids, asks, and deltas for an arbitrarily chosen period. These levels are generally good support and resistance.
The Smart DOM module is intended for trades.
Level2 ( this module is not available at the moment at v5 version of ATAS)
The Level2 module is designed for Western stock trading but can also be used to open any non-standard instrument that is not available in the ATAS platform.
Alerts are signals that notify the trader of various market events. Having created alerts, you can move away from the monitor; this option will ensure that program automatically notifies you of the occurrence of any predetermined event.
This module is designed for delivering internal messages from the risk manager/broker (this program feature is currently used by prop companies to send messages to traders).
In the future, we plan to introduce the possibility to connect to news providers (for example, http://www.bloomberg.com etc.)
Connection to DataFeed - this function allows configuring the program connection to the trading account and to the quote vendor.
* Information about settings is available here:Connection to DataFeed.
