EMA

EMA (Exponential Moving Average) indicator is an exponential moving average to be determined by adding a specific share of the current closing price to the previous value of the moving average. When exponential moving averages are used, last closing prices are of more importance.

Calculation formula:

EMA = ((CLOSE (i)-(CLOSE (i-1)) * P EMA [i-1];

Where is:

CLOSE (i) — the price of the current period closing;

EMA (i-1) — the value of the moving average of the previous period;

P - the period.
