StdDev

Technical indicator of standard deviation (Standard Deviation, StdDev) measures the market volatility. This indicator characterizes the price range as to the moving average. If the indicator value is large, the market is volatile and bar prices are quite scattered as to the moving average. If the indicator value is small, the market is exposed to low volatility and bar prices are sufficiently near to the moving average.
