COT Net positions

CFTC Net Positions is a weekly report of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which reflects the difference between the total volume of long and short positions, which exist in the market. The report covers American futures markets (Chicago and New York exchanges) only. So, this indicator presents the net volume of long positions in the United States. The indicator reflects positions of funds and managers (Commercial), major players (Large Speculators) and minor players (Small Traders).

Panel - Selection of the indicator location in the chart:

  • New panel.
  • Chart.

Large Speculators, Commercial and Small Traders

Show value/Show the current value - Displays the indicator value to the left on the price scale.

Scale/Auto-scaling - If this option is ON, the scale will be automatically calculated based on the indicator minimum and maximum values, so that the indicator would fit in in the chart.

Color - The indicator color setting.

Visual type - Visual setting of the indicator display in the chart:

  • Line
  • Histogram
  • Hash
  • Block

Line style - Setting of the line display type:

  • Solid
  • Dash
  • Dash - dot
  • Dash - dot - dot

Width/Thickness - Setting of the indicator line thickness.
